Elephant Valley Lodge comprises of 20 'meru' style luxury safari tents and can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests. Each of the tents features en-suite shower and toilet, mini-safe and fan. Your tent also ensures that you are able to hear the multitude of night sounds as you drift away with vivid thoughts of the experiences of your days on safari!
Elephant Valley Lodge is well situated around a waterhole, although the perimeter is fenced to keep the elephants from moving through the camp. Instead, they now move around the camp boundary, along their well worn paths to and from the Chobe River.

Your stay at Elephant Valley Lodge includes all meals and safari activities, but excludes drinks.
Day 3
After an early morning game drive followed by breakfast, you will be transferred to Kasane airport, where you will be met by your pilot who will fly you to Delta Camp. This is an awesome experience in itself as you fly over the delta and see the animals below (have your camera ready!)
On arrival you will be welcomed by the Camp Manager and shown to your room. Enjoy a leisurely buffet lunch and a little later this afternoon your guide will take you on a mokoro excursion, where you explore the channels and their amazing wildlife. You will enjoy sundowners while in the mokoro and watch the sun sizzle as it sets on the waterways, before returning to the camp in time to freshen up before a delicious dinner, accompanied by the sounds of the African bush.
Delta Camp is an intimate and informal safari camp nestled on a small island close to the south-western edge of Chief's Island, in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Accommodation is in spacious 'lethaka' (reed) chalets with en-suite facilities. Your chalet at Delta Camp directly overlooks the waterways on the banks of the Boro, one of the primary watercourses of the Okavango.
Excursions, by foot and mokoro - the traditional dug-out canoe - are conducted in the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, with your own professional game-guide, a man of the swamps, completely at one with his environment.
The accent is on peace and tranquillity (stalking game on foot provides all the excitement one could wish for) and you are encouraged to visit a local village, home to your guide, and to interact with the people there.

what makes this safari eco-friendly?
elephant valley lodge
- Water: Elephant Valley Lodge operates on borehole water, which comes from 110 metres below the ground. This water is used for everything in the lodge: cooking, gardens and rooms. It is safe to drink and use for washing etc. They do not use municipal water as the demand in the area is too high. This means they are not taking from the river and are eliminating all chances of disease from the municipal water.
- Sewage: Elephant Valley Lodge has just installed and built a
20 000L bio chemical septic tank which filters and purifies the water making it reusable for irrigation. This saves the use of the borehole water and is a very good form of recycling.
- Power: Elephant Valley Lodge has a policy that if any room or area of the lodge is not being used all power to that section of the lodge is turned off. All rooms that are occupied are monitored for electrical usage, so when the guest is out of the room the power to the room is turned off. They only allow 2 hours a day of geyser usage a day per room. This heats the water sufficiently for the clients and also saves power.
- Litter: Elephant Valley Lodge has an out-sourced refuse removal company that removes all refuse on a daily basis; this refuse is taken to the new eco friendly dump that has been built in Kasane.
- Health department: Elephant Valley Lodge successfully passed their last health inspection with flying colours due to their conservation policies at the lodge.
