Day 1

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be welcomed by an Elewana Afrika representative and chauffeured to The Arusha Coffee Lodge. Here you will enjoy a complimentary upgrade to one of the 12 Plantation Suites.

Arusha Coffee Lodge is situated on one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations, and is surrounded by some of Africa’s most beautiful scenery. Below the rugged peaks of Mount Meru, the 18 luxuriously furnished Plantation Suites offer a comfortable and relaxing pre-safari retreat in which to unwind after a long flight.

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a Coffee Estate tour and then an alfresco lunch in the garden. After lunch you will be chauffeured to Arusha Airport and flown to Kuro Airstrip in Tarangire National Park. At the airstrip, the Tarangire Treetops team will meet you for an afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park after which you will enter through Treetops’ private reserve.

Tarangire Treetops has a magical never-never land feel appealing to any with a sense of fun and romance. Distinctively furnished blending natural materials and contemporary décor, the tree houses provide guests with a unique safari experience. Each tree house is perched up in the Baobab and Marula trees and has a large private balcony, an exotic double shower and stunning views.

Day 3

After breakfast at Treetops you will enjoy a full day of activities, including game drives, a game-walk, sundowners atop Sunset Hill and a night game drive. Lunch and dinner will be served at Treetops.

Day 4

After breakfast you will enjoy a morning game drive through Tarangire National Park. Stop at leisure for a picnic lunch on your way to Kuro Airstrip and connect to Manyara Airstrip. On arrival, the team from The Manor at Ngorongoro will meet you and take you on a visit of an authentic African market in the township of Karatu. Arrive at The Manor in time for high-tea.

The Manor at Ngorongoro is located adjacent to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area within the 1500 acre, Shangri-La Estate, and is reminiscent of an elegant, up-country farm home in the Cape Dutch-style of architecture. The Manor at Ngorongoro, with its luxurious all suite guest cottages is the first luxury safari experience in the region to fuse East African safari hospitality with old world Afro- European architecture and décor. Each cottage commands fantastic views
of the landscapes, surrounded by fragrant flowering gardens and age-old trees.

Day 5

After breakfast, an Elewana vehicle will take you on a full day of exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater. A picnic hamper lunch will be served on the crater floor. After lunch, you will explore more of the crater before heading back to the Manor for the evening cocktails and dinner.

The Ngorongoro Crater is called the eighth wonder of the world and stretching across some 8,300 sq km, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania boasts a blend of landscapes, wildlife, people and archaeology that is unsurpassed in Africa. The volcanoes, grasslands, waterfalls and mountain forests are home to an abundance of animals and to the Maasai.

Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world's greatest natural spectacles, its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthrall visitors. It borders the Serengeti National Park to the north and west. A few hours drive to the east takes you to the town of Arusha which nestles at the foot of Mount Meru, within view of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 6

Today, you have the option of visiting the Lake Manyara National Park or staying at the lodge to explore the estate. Choose from a host of activities including horseback riding, cycling, an estate tour or a massage treatment (1 treatment per person) or, you may opt to just relax. After lunch you will be driven to the Manyara airstrip for your onward flight to the Serengeti, where upon arrival you will be met by the Migration Camp team. The afternoon will be spent on a game drive with arrival at Serengeti Migration Camp in time for sundowners.

Serengeti Migration Camp exudes a decadence reminiscent of old Africa. Its spacious tents have been carefully placed to provide privacy and blend into nature’s architecture, overlooking the Grumeti River and its resident hippos. Richly furnished throughout, the camp provides a haven of sumptuous indulgence among the raw splendour of the surrounding bush. Surrounded by a 360 degree verandah deck and with a capacious, 45 square metre internal floor space, each guest tent is a private sanctuary.

Day 7

After breakfast you will spend the full day exploring the vast Serengeti. Enjoy a Bush lunch, after which the afternoon will be spent game viewing. You will return to Serengeti Migration Camp in time for sundowners and dinner.

Day 8

After breakfast explore along the banks of the great Grumeti River on a guided game walk. Thereafter enjoy a leisurely lunch and a game drive en-route to the airstrip for your onward flight to Arusha, where on arrival, you will be met by The Arusha Coffee Lodge team and chauffeured to Arusha Coffee Lodge.

On arrival, a day room is available to you to freshen up and relax, and thereafter you will be transfered to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey.

Elewana’s custom built Safari Cruisers have been customized for comfort and optimized game viewing and are fitted with bush-lunch awnings, 240v power supply to recharge your cameras and batteries, a cool box and drinks refrigerator, binoculars and reference books on flora and fauna. No picnic boxes on the Safari! Each vehicle is equipped with tables and chairs and a complete picnic hamper set up.

Elewana’s new executive Cessna 208B is the very first of its kind on Tanzania’s safari circuit, the 208B is the ideal safari aircraft, and now even more so with the new Executive Oasis interior by YingLing Aviation. Only 9 club-class seats including a coffee station and bar instead of the typical 13 commuter seats.

The Elewana Guiding Team each have between 5 and 15 years experience across East and Southern Africa, all boasting both domestic and international qualifications including FGSA Level 3 and internationally recognized Wildlife and Conservation Management Diplomas. We are particularly proud to have a strong contingent of Tanzanian guides, some of whom have previously worked within the Tanzania National Parks Authority and The Tanzania Wildlife Department as Head Rangers and Senior Wardens.
